a.    One way to increase your happiness is by practicing happiness for other people’s happiness! Don’t get jealous. Practice being supportive in your mind. Find joy in their accomplishments.

b.    The second way is to practice nonviolent communication with yourself. Its okay to be a little self-critical sometimes, but many people fall into the habit self-judgement. Be aware of how you are talking with yourself. Flip the flow! Think nice and positive things to yourself each day.

c.    The third way you can increase happiness is by calming your nervous system. Once again, you can try meditation for this. Consciously relax your body a few times a day.

d.    The fourth way is to practice nonviolent communication with others. Have you caught yourself being a little too sarcastic or manipulative with someone to get what you want? Restrain yourself, this is toxic to your well-being and theirs!

e.    Lastly, find the good! Don’t allow all of the “bad” news out there to drag you down. This takes a conscious effort. Take time to see the positives.

Improve well-being by asking for help when you need it. Life can get overwhelming. Don’t be afraid to talk to someone about how you’re feeling. Asking for help will help handle the difficulties you’re facing. You can also practice letting go of any disappointment or sadness in your life.
